The Weekly Lunch is catered by “Catering by Lovables.” Pre-registration is required by Mondays. Weekly Lunch is served at 12 p.m. Upcoming menu: June 24: Lemon Chicken, July 1: Chicken Teriyaki and July 8: Baked Florida Snapper. Working late? Want to socialize with others? Don't have time to cook? ‘Let's Do Dinner!' is a special program for active seniors 55 and older to enjoy a great meal together. July 2

Coral Gables Congregational Church continues its Summer Concert Series with Tony DeSare. The performance takes place at 8 p.m. The singer, pianist and songwriter has been the star in a long running Off-Broadway musical, and performed recently at the legendary jazz club Birdland. Don’t miss DeSare during his special performance. He will be joined by drums and jazz bass for an exceptional evening of American jazz. Tickets range from $25 – $40. July 8 – August 16

The Actors’ Playhouse at Miracle Theatre ends its 2008 – 2009 season with a hilarious look at married life. Married Alive is a funny and poignant new musical that celebrates the trials and tribulations of two contemporary married couples, one newlywed and one oldywed. Performances will take place Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $40 - $48. July 14

Sit back and relax as you go on an unforgettable sightseeing tour along the scenic Biscayne Bay on the Island Queen Cruise. The bilingual tour will highlight the downtown Miami skyline, the Port of Miami, Brickell Key, Fisher Island and the islands off Miami Beach nicknamed Millionaire's Row. A bus departs the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Drive, at 9:45 a.m. Registration and payment of fee is required by June 30th. For fee information, call 305-460-5609.

July 28 – August 8

The Coral Gables Police Department is offering Self Defense Classes specifically designed for women. The program designed by R.A.D. consists of certified police instructors providing basic education regarding confrontational principles, awareness, risk reduction and physical defense. Classes are held at the Police Department, 2801 Salzedo Street, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a Saturday class taking place on August 8 from 8 a.m. to noon.
